ABRAHIMOVICH HOSTS CHELSEA LEGENDS IN ARSENAL CLASH

Chelsea owner Roman Abrahimovich hosted a trio of the club’s former players Michael Essien, Andriy Shevchenko and Didier Drogba at the VIP owners’ box when the Blues hosted Arsenal in the Premier League.

Chelsea are gunning for a fifth Premier League title this term. They have had a brilliant run thus far. The owner of the successful football club Abrahimovich would be confident to host friends and guests as the form the team is in would likely get a decent result.

Abrahimovich knew a victory for his club would almost rule out Arsenal from the title race this term as they would be 12 points behind. He was all smiles as the legends joined him in the stands to watch the team play.

Legend Drogba was all smiles as he shook the hands of the Russian billionaire. The Ivorian cemented his name at the club, winning numerous titles in his eight year stay. He was influential to the victory of Chelsea over Bayern Munich in 2012, making them European champions for the first time.

Shevchenko is the AC Milan legend that decided to move to Chelsea but he did not quite match his exploits in the Serie A. The Ukrainian was pictured with his former teammates at the Bridge.

Essien was also on hand to cheer the current crop of Chelsea players to victory. Cape Town City owner John Comitis recently rejected the former Ghana international.

Comitis said he outrightly threw away any idea of acquiring the veteran as he feels he would not improve their current title-chasing side. The South African side felt the player was no longer one that could move mountains for the club so there was no need to sign him.

Hollywood stars Will Ferrell and John Reilly were also pictured seeing the much-anticipated game.
